We were pleased that we were able to get an earlier flt from Dallas as none of us felt like finding a city tour after a night on the plane from Honolulu. About an hour before we landed in Dallas I realised I was coming down with a cold and now 24hours later it really is full blown. When we arrived here at hotel after lunch I went straight to bed for 3 hours and then slept all night as well. Because we got the earlier flt there wasn't a Rep from APT to meet us even though we had notified them so they told us to take a taxi to hotel. It was rather a hairy ride but we made it in one piece. The room is very nice with 2 queen beds so we have decided to use both in the vain hope that Eric will escape the cold virus! Our room looks out over the new music theatre and stadium. I haven't ventured outside yet but Eric did have a wander to Broadway St to see what is going on. He said there were lots of people around and live music being played in the bars. No, he didn't catch us with Keith or Nicole but you never know!
Margaret and Bill (our friends from Miles) said they did a walk around the streets last night and everything was really pumping so maybe I will do that tonight. We ran into them on way to brekky and also came across a few more Aussies there (from Melbourne) who are also on our tour. We hope to catch a bus and go to a shopping mall today as there are no shops around the hotel, just Bars,and places selling lots of boots and country gear.
The Michael Jackson guy looks very good. From the photo, it could be the real Michael, if I didn't know he was dead. I've been fighting a cold as well. Only had the sniffles luckily but I have 2 staff that have been off work for a week. It's hit them pretty hard. Hope you're gets better quickly.
