We sailed during the night and arrived at St.Francisville this morning to overcast and showers. Decided not to do tour of Rosedown Plantation and instead caught shuttle to the township. We arrived in the township at 9.30 but, like most towns over here, nothing open before 10am so we had a little wander around but as it was an area of only 1,800 people, there was little to see. However, it is always nice to view the houses with the different styles of architecture though we are surprised each day when we see so very few locals. Maybe there is another area which they don't take us to! We looked in a couple of antique shops and a gift shop and a fashion store which had lovely clothes but nothing we needed. Today is the first time we have needed to put on a warm jacket outside as it has become very chilly this late pm. We docked here in Baton Rouge, the state Capitol half an hour ago and will do a tour tomorrow. I was hoping we may get off and go for a walk but a bit too brisk which is surprising this far south. Tonight we have more music or stories by a negro lady after our lovely and unusual dinner menu.Attaching photo of our mooring here at Baton Rouge which has been described as a " paper clip "

It's now Friday morning as I write this. Joshuacame over yyesterday and spent the night. Now I'm just about to take him to choir. One of my flat mates left yesterday for the next 5 months. She's going to South America and then has a month in Europe. Nothing much happening here. Doing overtime tonight and Sunday night and then going to Yeppoon to visit a friend on Monday for a couple nights. See you later.
